Long Break

I hope to get back in the swing of things very soon. Alot of distractions have been happening. I was gifted with a new grandson, Luke, born to my son and daughter-in--law. I now have 5 Grandsons, Zach, Ben, Lance, Lincoln and Luke. Unfortunately, no Granddaughters but somehow, I don't think I am the Granddaughter type. Been spending a bit of time at our Cabin and doing some fishing and reflecting. I have gotten the itch for my art again so soon...very soon.

My Christmas Present

I received the most wonderful Christmas present from my son. I got an IPAD......whole new world has opened up...digital art....I am using sketchbook pro, Art Studio and Art Rage. I am in love with these programs. My greatest Christmas present though was my youngest daughter had a parotid Tumor thaw was benign . She is still recovering but I thank the Lord everyday that it is not Cancer.

I also have new grandson (5 grandsons one), named Luke....born on July 31. He is healthy and of course, adorable.

That's all for now. May your New Year bring you Prosperity, Joy and happiness!

Charcoal

This summer I made my own Drawing Charcoal off the Willow Tree on our 2 1/2 acres of Lakefront Cabin. Yup, I did it the old-fashioned way, across the fire in the pit in a tin can. They are really nice and soft. Haven't had time to use them yet but the day is coming!!

New Grandson

My children keep popping out babies. I have a new Grandson, Luke, who is now 5 months old. Had to go to the East Coast to help Mom and baby.

I am now back. My studio is again set-up and I am ready to paint away. Winter is now coming and next week, we are closing the cabin so I have my art studio time now. Look for updates in the following months. Between Painting and Babysitting, I should be able to get some Artwork done.

Have a good Thanksgiving!!

I am still around. Took about a year off. Lots of family issues with my children's health but all is well now. My son and his wife are having a baby. That is the highlight this year. The landscaping at the cabin is under construction now as I type. There has just been alot going on this year. The design for the the landscape is a place for Plein Air Painting and I hope to be doing that by fall and displaying my paintings on here. Thanks to all who have contacted me. Sorry that my family life takes precedent but it will always be that way. My children and grandchildren are my life and always will be.

Till fall.................

Vacation

Going to fly to Phoenix in a few days. After Halloween as I most certainly would not miss the kids and their costumes. It will be a nice break away from the dreary Michigan weather that has been setting in. Seems like it is grey everyday this fall. Depressing as all heck.

Anyhow, I plan to take lots of reference pix and enjoy the pool and sun. Hopefully, I will come back refreshed and ready to attack the winter that is almost among us.

Stay safe and remember if you ya get the chance, I hope ya dance! Life is short, enjoy it!!

Dang........Summer is Almost Gone!!

Of course, like always, I have been busy with my Grandsons. Two of them will be starting school tomorrow (Kindergarten) and then I will have more time for my Art endeavors. Life is good...really good. The only bad part of my psyche right now is that summer is almost gone. I detest winter......really detest it.

Finally!!!

I have to attend my niece's wedding this weekend........then.....ah........then I have a month to myself and my cabin. Paint and fish, fish and paint, with a little vodka thrown in. I have been experimenting with Gouache of late and I have a couple oils to finish up. Hopefully, soon I can post them. Finally, I have a month of freedom from obligations!

Busy, Busy, Busy

No time for painting or drawing the last few weeks. My niece had a baby and getting married August 1st. I have been going to baby showers and this weekend to her wedding shower. Driving to Frankenmuth and spending a couple days with my sister. Then we are coming back to my Cabin where I will meet up with my mother, daughter and grandsons for a couple days. No time to myself right now but that is okay.....life is about family.....no, life is all family.

My Very Best Friend

My cat, Sadie, was given to me about 10 years ago. No one wanted her. She was very sick and she has very bad eyes due to a disease she had when she was a baby (not normal cat eyes as they have always looked like bad cataracts). The vet told me she would probably be blind at some point. She cannot see well but well enough to get around. She was the runt and due to malnutrition when she was a kitten, she is very small. She had my heart when she was placed into my hands, and she still has my heart 10 years later. She is my Best Friend. She listens to me ramble. She lays at my feet when I paint. She sleeps in my arms at night. I dread the day that she will no longer be with me.

The Circus

My Grandsons came out to the Cabin last week and we went to the nearby Circus for the day. I so enjoyed the look on their faces. Grandkids are great to have as I spoil them rotten but they make my day most days.

My Cabin

This is where I spend most of my time in the Summer months. I have a 3,000 square foot home in the suburbs but amazingly, this little 700 square foot cabin (no dishwasher, no AC) is where I prefer to spend my time. I have a screened in porch along the backside that overlooks the lake. I have my breakfast out there watching the Geese, Swans and Herons. It is Heaven on Earth for me.

Another Couple of Geese

Another one of my photographs of a couple of Geese. They are becoming friends of mine now and let me get very close to them to get a photo shot.

My Newest Photography Effort

I shot this picture of Canadian Geese on the waterfront in front of my cabin. I love the wildlife and peace. It is like Heaven on earth there. Sandra Krueger owns the copyright of this photo. Please respect the copyright laws!!
